RIOT squad police are outside the Sydney court where three people are about to be sentenced for black magic sex offences.

Last month, before Judge Penelope Hock presided over a sentencing hearing for the trio, the police officer in charge of the chase was attacked, allegedly by relatives of one of the defendants.

As a result of the attack, the officer's suit jacket and trousers were badly ripped.

Tony Golossian, 62, was found guilty by a NSW District Court jury in December of 24 charges, most for having sexual intercourse without consent.

His friend, 40-year-old Arthur Psichogios, was found guilty of 14 similar charges.

Psichogios' wife, Frances Psichogios, 38, was found guilty of seven charges, including administering an intoxicating substance with intent to enable sexual assault.

The charges relate to two victims who were told black magic curses had been placed on them and were forced into sex "prayer sessions" to rid themselves of the curses.

After last month's attack outside the court, Golossian's wife and son were charged over the incident.

Six members of the riot squad were waiting outside the court room today.
