A Roman Catholic priest and former St. Charles College teacher is expected to plead guilty in a Windsor court in June to molesting 15 boys and one girl in Sudbury, Toronto and Windsor.

The 16 charges William Hodgson Marshall, 88, is facing date back to the 1950s. Six of the victims are from Sudbury, five are from Toronto and the remainder are from Windsor.

Assistant Crown attorney Walter Costa said Marshall is to appear in a Windsor courtroom on June 8 and 9, where he is expected to plead guilty.

It is anticipated that a number of the victims will speak during the retired Basilian priest's sentencing.

Greater Sudbury Police charged Marshall last fall with six counts of gross indecency and six counts of indecent assault related to the Sudbury victims. Those assaults are alleged to have occurred between January 1960 and December 1970 in Sudbury.

The Sudbury charges were transferred to Windsor last month. His Toronto-area charges have also been transferred there.
