Monday, attorneys filed a lawsuit against the Catholic Archdiocese of Philadelphia accusing the Archdiocese of attempting to cover up various sex crimes by a particular priest. The lawsuit goes on to say that the victim was lead to attempt suicide as a result of the sexual abuse.

Attorney Jeff Anderson said the priest accused in the case is Reverend Robert Brennan and that at least 20 children may have been abused by the same priest. According to to the lawsuit, the victim was only 15 years old when the crime was committed. The man is now 32 years old.

Other Catholic priests, a teacher, and a monsignor are also under investigation for rape, pedophilia and other criminal charges.

A representative for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, the sixth largest within the U.S., said the Archdiocese has nothing to say about the charges and would not offer any further comments.
