PITKIN COUNTY, Colo. -- A former monk in training at St. Benedict's Monastery in Snowmass is expected in court on Monday to face a charge of sexually assaulting a boy more than 10 years ago, according to the Aspen Times.

The newspaper said Wilfred Laurent Carignan, 72, is already serving prison time on two felony convictions of sexual assault of a child out of Delta County.

The alleged victim in the new case is now in his 20s. His family said Carignan was hired to tutor the boy at

a home near the monastery, according to the newspaper.
