A new study blames the free love, for the rise of sexual abuse cases that occurred in the 1960's.

The report commisioned by the U.S. Conference of catholic bishops and conducted by John Jay College of Criminal Jutsive, blames the free love era of the 1960's for the increase of sexual abuse cases among priest, not on homosexuality or celibacy.

Frank Dingle a retired college professor and longtime member of Snap, the survivors network of those abused by priest, say's the report was based solely on information provided by the Catholic church, and is only a cover up for the truth.

Sean Cain, a spokesman for the Baltimore Archdiocese, didn't agree or disagree with the findings. But says the report does show the church's commitment to protecting children.

Cain says the goal was to gain a better understanding of the past, to move forward to the future.
