An EWTN radio host, an official who oversaw the work of 16 agencies in the Clinton administration, and a pediatrician who has written on child sexual abuse have been named to the National Review Board. The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB), in its efforts to address the clerical abuse scandal, established the consultative lay board at its June 2002 meeting in Dallas.

Colleen Kelly Mast, the cohost of the EWTN and Sirius Radio program “The Doctor Is In,” is the author of Sex Respect, an abstinence programs for public school teens, and Love and Life: A Christian Sexual Morality Guide for Teens.

Susan King, an Emmy-winning journalist, is vice president of external affairs at the Carnegie Corporation of New York. During the Clinton administration, she oversaw the work of 16 agencies as the Department of Labor’s assistant secretary of public affairs.

Angelo Giardino, chief medical officer for the Texas Children’s Health Plan, has written on child sexual abuse and served on the National Review Board from 2005 to 2008.

The three new members will serve on the board from 2011 to 2015.
