Father Kizito was last year cleared of sodomy after the prosecution lacked enough evidence to incriminate him

Father Kizito Renato Sesana is once again the key suspect in an ongoing investigation in a sodomy case involving one of his employees.

Kilimani OCPD Bernard Muli said on Thursday that Kizito's DNA analysis will reveal further evidence to the cleric's guilt or innocence.

Mr. Muli said they arrested Kizito after evidence provided by the medical practitioners indicated that the young man was sodomized two days ago.

This means Father Kizito will be spending the night at the Dagorretti Police Station until the tests are complete.

The 26 year old employee is currently at the Nairobi Hospital receiving treatment.

Kizito's acquittal

In 2009 and 2010, Father Kizito was accused of sodomizing and molesting boys in his Koinonia community centre, but key witnesses and victims retracted their accusations against him, stating that they had been given money to implicate the cleric.

In December 2010, Father Kizito Renato Sesana was declared a free man as police investigations yielded insufficient evidence to incriminate him.

The Italian priest of the Comboni Missionaries turned himself in and recorded a statement at the Kilimani police station Thursday morning after learning that he was being sought by detectives, for allegedly sodomizing his secretary.

Father Kizito actively supports and promotes Community's street children rehabilitation projects in Nairobi and Lusaka, as well as peace building activities of Africa Peace Point, a non-governmental organization established under Koinonia Community.
