A vicar from Custom House has been suspended from his duties following allegations of a sex attack on a child.
Reverend Chris Hanson of Ascension Church, Baxter Road was arrested at his home in Broadgate Road on May 23 on suspicion of inciting a child to engage is sexual activity..
The 63-year-old Church of England vicar is alleged to have committed the offence at a previous parish.
A Thames Valley Police spokesman said: "An investigation was launched earlier this year following an allegation of an historic offence committed within the East Berkshire area."
Rev Hanson has been released on bail until June 29.
