Event Number 2. On Monday evening June 6 at 7PM at the Lott Residence, 1261 Fifth Avenue (107-108th Streets) investigative journalist Jason Berry will discuss his new book, Render Unto Rome: The Secret Life of Money in the Catholic Church. Berry is the author of Vows of Silence: The Abuse of Power in the Papacy of John Paul II. His investigative research and reporting helped to expose the story of Fr. Marcial Maciel, founder of the Legion of Christ and a serial sexual abuser. Berry's latest book explores the connections between parish closings and church finances in the US.
