The sexual revolution of the 60's and 70's made priests abuse children

The sexual revolution forced bishops to cover-up sexual abuse of children

What

A peaceful, cool "love-in" to ask John Jay College officials, "What were you cats thinking?"

Where

On the sidewalk outside John Jay College at 899 Tenth Avenue, Manhattan, New York City

When

Monday afternoon, June 6, 2011, from 4:45 PM to 6:15 PM

Who

Hippies and "square people," many of whom lived during the 60's and 70's in America and are sponsored by two organizations, Road to Recovery and the National Survivor Advocates Coalition, including some who were "hit on" and abused by priests during those decades.

Why

The Catholic bishop "dudes" and other Catholic groups paid the research "cats" from John Jay College, which heretofore was a "hip" college of the City University of New York, $1.8 million to find out why priests and other religious persons sexually abused kids. Dig this: they concluded that children were sexually abused by priests because of the "free love" of the 60's and 70's.

But we're not buying it.

We want to know how a report on a critical problem's causes could totally erase any ounce of responsibility from the bosses who oversaw the institution in which crimes were committed.

We want to know how John Jay's "experts" could overlook the conclusion of their own statement that "a substantial delay in the reporting of sexual abuse is common, and many incidents of sexual abuse by priests were reported decades after the abuse occurred" and gave the bishops what they paid for – a report that had a foregone conclusion: its history.

We want to know how 1.8 million dollars of Catholic and taxpayer money gets spent and the end result is illogic, vagueness, and incredulity.

What was John Jay College "smoking" to agree to do this study and issue those "far out" conclusions?
