|High Court Won't Consider Maday Case
June 10, 2011
MADISON - A former priest has lost another battle in his fight to overturn his sexual assault conviction.
Norbert Maday was convicted in Winnebago County in 1994 of sexually assaulting young boys. The Wisconsin Supreme Court has decided that it will not consider his request to have the sentence reviewed because of alleged errors by the trial court.
Although Maday has completed his criminal sentence, he is still in custody because the state wants him committed as a sexual predator. A Sept. 12 trial is scheduled for that case.
