I have always loved Fr. Corapi. But it seems to me that he has lost his mind. To be honest his new website looks sinister. Nothing about his response is congruent with the things he taught over the last 20 years. Nothing about it emits the holiness of a man, who has been called by many a living saint. Living saint's do not renounce their ordination at the first sign of trouble. He knows better than I do that his ordination doesn't just sort of disappear because he has decided to stop calling himself Fr.

Was he really "thrown out like yesterday's news?" Fr. that's a little dramatic isn't it? I do not recall news from the Church that they were removing you. This sounds like a conscious choice. An act of the will to leave behind your priestly ministry in favor of something else. I understand the process is messy and imperfect but whatever happened to the cross? Remember all of those times that you spoke so plainly about the cross and redemptive suffering? You now have the perfect opportunity to persevere. To kiss your cross, to carry it in Christ, and to offer the suffering for reparation for past sins and for the conversion of souls. Yet, you refuse to?

Fr. what is reality? You are a priest of the Roman Catholic Rite who has been accused of something that you assert is not true. Yet, you run from it? You run from the cross the moment it presents itself in an epic way? You renounce your title as Fr. and now you are going to start some other thing? You didn't mention Jesus Christ, prayer, Mary, or the Holy Father one time your 8 minute explanation, I find that very telling as to where you are at right now.

Black sheep dog? He wants me to refer to him as Black Sheep Dog? Is he going to start rapping? This is all very dramatic and it is devoid of one thing which I think is very important, Jesus Christ. This is not the way. Jesus walked the way, carrying His cross the entire time. And when he got to calvary and they nailed Him to the cross, he allowed it. When he was taunted and they tempted him to come down from the cross, he did not remove himself from it, rather he endured.

I am going to bring this rant to a close by saying, Fr. Corapi's response is very disheartening and in my opinion telling. For all of those years he gave us these amazing and difficult teachings on suffering. When it comes into his own life, he lacks fortitude, hope, and patience to overcome his pride. He fails in humility and obedience to do what is asked of him. Perhaps that is one of the reasons that this is happening to him? Yet, he says he is going to be the "sheep dog of the world." There is huge danger that as a result of his pride Fr. will separate himself from the Church. Many will follow him and defend him. It will cause a division for sure among many of his disciples but remember "put not your trust in princes; in the children of men, in whom there is no salvation." (Psalm 146:3). Fr. Corapi is merely a man an ordained man but a man nonetheless, his error here is not something we should follow or defend, regardless, of the good work he has done for the Church. We cannot support what he is doing right now in this moment. We must pray for him! You are not a disciple of Fr. Corapi, you are a disciple of Jesus Christ. I am sorry to have to say this Fr. but, it is here that we must part ways I am unable to follow ou into your new endeavor. Pray for Fr. Corapi, for healing, and for fortitude, most of all pray that he come to his senses.
