OTTAWA — An August sentencing hearing for a Catholic bishop who possessed child pornography will now continue into December because of problems finding a time for the psychiatrist who examined him to testify.

Raymond Lahey, 71, was supposed to be in court for a two-day hearing for sentencing submissions on Aug. 4 and 5.

The court is still expected to hear evidence from a police detective on the first of those two days, but the second day in August was cancelled Friday because Dr. John Bradford from the Royal Ottawa Mental Health Centre isn't available to testify.
