The man who says he was molested by an East Tennessee priest as a boy took the stand Tuesday morning.

Warren Tucker claims that Bill Casey sexually molested him when he attended Saint Dominic's Catholic Church in Kingsport. He said Casey treated him like a surrogate father. Casey is charged with aggravated rape and sexual misconduct in this case. He has pleaded guilty to similar charges with the same victim in North Carolina.

Tucker testified that he grew up in a poor background, and that then Father Casey told him he was special. He said, "I was special, we had a special love together... special love between us."

Tucker said the rapes happened between 1979 and 1980 at

St. Dominic's and in a separate trailer.

He called Casey "a powerful man"

Casey's defense attorney, Rick Spivey, said prior to testimony that after 32 years of waiting, the charges are skeptical.

Jury selection begins

Jury selection for the second trial of a former East Tennessee priest accused of molesting a boy in the 1970's has begun Monday in Sullivan County.

Bill Casey, 76, was retired but still an active member of the Knoxville Diocese when the allegations became public in 2010.

Warren Tucker, who now lives in Indiana, said Casey molested him as a youth, when Casey was a priest at Saint Dominic's Catholic Church. He said the abuse took place in several locations in East Tennessee, North Carolina, and Virginia.

Casey is on trial for aggravated rape and sexual misconduct charges in Sullivan County. He has pleaded not guilty.

Casey entered a guilty plea to the charges in McDowell County, North Carolina. He also faces charges in Scott County, Virginia.
