A former East Tennessee priest was in court on Friday for a bond hearing after a jury found him guilty of three counts of sexual abuse earlier in the month.

Friday, a Sullivan County judge revoked 77-year-old William Casey's bond, which means he will stay in custody until sentencing which is set for August 22nd.

Due to the severity of the crime, Casey is not eligible for probation. The District Attorney requested he stay in custody because he could be a flight risk.

Jurors found Casey guilty of one count of sexual criminal conduct. For that, there is a minimum sentencing of ten years.

Jurors also found him guilty of two counts of aggravated rape, which carry a minimum sentencing of 15 years each.
