A Daviess County Grand Jury says there is not enough evidence to file charges against members of the catholic church.

David Jarboe made claims of some type of abuse in a lengthy Facebook post just before his death.

The Owensboro Police Department and local Catholic Diocese have both concluded separate investigations into the case.

Both the Commonwealth's Attorney and the diocese refused to comment on the issue immediately, but officials with the Catholic Church say they will release a statement on the church's investigation within the next few days.

Jeff Koening with the "Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests" or "S.N.A.P." now wonders how thorough those investigations were.

The county Commonwealth's Attorney's office says it cannot comment on the case citing rules of criminal procedure.

Whether thorough or not a grand jury made of ordinary citizens did hear case and has ultimately decided to not press the issue further.

The two priests Jarboe named in his note , Reverend William Baer and Reverend Freddie Byrd were also unavailable for comment on this story
