	Charges: Maplewood Church Youth Leader Sexually Abused White Bear Lake Teen By Emily Gurnon Pioneer Press August 15, 2011 http://www.twincities.com/ci_18686813?nclick_check=1 A man who worked as a youth leader in a Maplewood church for about 20 years has been charged with sexually abusing a White Bear Lake teen. Gary Odell Weldon, 65, of White Bear Lake was charged with second-degree criminal sexual conduct involving a boy whose family had been close friends with Weldon. The abuse took place in 1992 when the boy was about 13, according to a criminal complaint filed Friday in Ramsey County District Court. He is also suspected in a second, more recent, case involving a teen who participated in a church youth trip to Ohio, the complaint said. Contact: egurnon@pioneerpress.com
