Clinton police are investigating claims from a man who say he was sexually abused by a former music minister.

It’s the same church leader who just last week told his congregation he'd had some past indiscretions with some boys.

Back in May 49 year-old John Langworthy resigned as minister of music at Morrison Heights Baptist Church, a position he held for 11 years.

According to Clinton police detective Joshua Frazier, the alleged sex abuse happened 20 years-ago while the victim and Langworthy were both in the Clinton.

Frazier says, "We don't know what he's got to say."

But investigators are anxious to get to the bottom of allegations against Langworthy, who also recently resigned his job as Clinton High School choir director.

Superintendent Phil Burchfield admitted Langworthy was allowed to take an overnight trip with the choir to New Orleans after the district learned of sex abuse allegations last year.

Someone was monitoring every move he mad on that trip, according to Burchfield.

Now Clinton police are planning a trip to find out what Langworthy's accuser has to say.
