Joseph A. Muha, 77, not to celebrate mass in public and has encouraged him to seek counseling, church officials said Monday. The decision came after the diocese looked into a complaint filed against Muha in June. Michael Brown, diocesan spokesman, declined to describe the complaint. But he said it was routed through the Diocesan Review Board, which typically looks into cases regarding possible sexual misconduct involving a minor. The review board found no misconduct involving a minor. Muha, who is retired, has celebrated mass at St. John’s Cathedral. He was ordained in 1960, according to the diocesan website.
