WOODLAWN, Md. - On paper, he seems like a community man. But tonight, Baltimore County Police think 48-year-old Ronnie Turner is a sexual offender.

Police say he owned the School House Studio Company in Radallstown, where a teenage relative says she was repeatedly assaulted from 2008 until 2010. On the sign at the Marriottsville Center, the business is touted as an after school program and dance studio.

Devin Hawkes and Carmen Hairston are expecting their first child and saw a future relationship with Turner's business, but no more.

"For the people who aren't registered and the people who you can't look online and find them, how do you know? How can you be sure that you're not dropping your kid off to someone who can hurt them," said Hawkes.

Police say Turner also ran a day camp for children called Superior Christian Summer Camp that was held at Towson University. Off camera, the parent of a former camper says the news does not fit the man who watched her 12-year-old son.

Turner is listed as the owner of the Full Ministry Family Church in the same shopping center, but we could not locate the space.

He's also charged with third and fourth sex offense of an adult relative.

"You got a family member who will harm his own family, his own flesh and his own blood, he will harm them. So how do you trust anyone in this world if people are harming their own family," said Hawkes.

Ronnie Turner is suspended without pay from his job as a Baltimore County Code Enforcement Inspector. He is out of jail on $100,000 bail.

If your child had contact with Ronnie Turner, police ask that you have a conversation.

To make a report to the Crimes Against Children Unit, the number to call is: 410-853-3650.
