What would have been conclusive enough evidence for Philadelphia Monsignor William Lynn to determine the validity of an abuse claim against a priest?

Admission by that priest or a medical professional's diagnosis of a sexual disorder. That fact and more have been revealed as Lynn's grand jury testimony becomes public.

Lynn is the highest-ranking church official to be charged with covering up sexual abuse by clergy members. He and three priests and a teacher were named in the grand jury report earlier this year and will face trial.

The Inquirer has details of the testimony, which focus on Lynn's handling of abuse claims against Father Stanley Gana and others. WHYY/NewsWorks' Lizz Fiedler will bring us more details later.
