PLAINFIELD, N.J. (AP) -- Two New Jersey men, including a registered sex offender, are accused of luring a mentally disabled woman preparing for baptism to Bible study and sexually assaulting her.

The Union County Prosecutor's Office revealed details Thursday after 31-year-old Edward Woodson and 30-year-old Marcal Campbell were indicted on sexual assault and other charges.

Authorities say Woodson asked the 30-year-old woman who frequented the same church he attended to his Plainfield home on Jan. 31. Prosecutors say Woodson was joined by his neighbor, Campbell, a registered sex offender. Authorities say both men sexually assaulted the woman in the basement.

Prosecutors say Woodson forced the woman outside in a snowstorm and she begged for a ride from strangers before Woodson's family called a cab.

Both men remain held on $300,000 bail each.
