CONCORD, N.C. -- A sex abuse lawsuit has been filed against a baptist church in Concord.

The suit alleges that the former youth minister at King's Way Baptist Church, Bobby Price, molested the plaintiff.

The accuser claims the abuse happened ten years ago, multiple times at the King's Way Baptist Church's "Youth Shack," on a mission trip, and even at the youth minister's own house.

"While defendant Bobby Price's wife and children were asleep, defendant Bobby Price sexually molested plaintiff in his home," the suit states.

The encounters allegedly occurred over a three year time period.

"The nature of the relationship changed, from youth minister, with regard to my client, to more like a best friend and ultimately transitioned into sexual abuse," said Seth Langson, the plaintiff's attorney.

The suit goes on to say the senior pastor, Brad Price, knew or should have known what was happening and that Bobby Price, his son, was unfit for his job.

NewsChannel 36 had left a message with the church to get their response but had yet to hear back.

Senior Pastor Brad Price posted a comment on WCNC's Facebook page, asking people for patience. We have not been able to independently confirm the account belongs to the pastor.

"Wait for The truth. We had these allegations given to us a few weeks ago and have thoroughly examined them one by one and there is absolutely no truth in any of them! This is an effort to extort money. In 23 years not even one accusation was ever raised to me or any leader in our church," he wrote.

But Langson refuted charges his client is after a monetary settlement.

"It's never about that, it's about justice."
