	Chatham Priest Charged in Sexual Assault Case By Miranda Chant CJBK October 14, 2011 http://www.cjbk.com/LocalNews/Story.aspx?ID=1555571 More than 30 years after the alleged incidents happened a Catholic Priest from Chatham has been charged in a pair of sex assaults. Essex OPP say the charges date back to 1978 when the priest was assigned to St Mary's Parish in Maidstone. The two male victims were volunteering as altar servers at the church at the time. Their names have not been released. 85 year old Father Linus Bastien was arrested on Wednesday. He is charged with two counts of indecent assault and two counts of gross indecency. Bastien will appear in Windsor court November 1st. A spokesperson for the Diocese of London says this is the first they've heard of the allegations and they're in the midst of preparing a statement. Anyone with further information regarding the case is asked to call police.
