Prosecutors announced Friday that Bishop Robert Finn of the Catholic Diocese of Kansas City-Saint Joseph faces misdemeanour charges of not reporting child abuse. They say he knew of alleged recent abuse by a priest, Shawn Ratigan, including photos of young girls on his computer, but did not report it for nearly five months. Finn has pleaded not guilty in the case, the diocese said in a statement. The diocese itself also faces charges.
