Corpus Christi, Texas — Authorities have arrested a 58-year-old former South Texas pastor after he was accused of sexually assaulting three siblings two years ago at his church.

The Corpus Christi Caller-Times reports (http://bit.ly/sv8CG5) Jose Humberto Herrera has been charged with three counts of sexual assault of a child.

He was being held Thursday at the Jim Wells County Jail on $180,000 bond.

Jail records did not show if Herrera had an attorney.

The Jim Wells County Sheriff's Office says an 18-year-old woman accused Herrera of assaulting her when she was 16. The woman's brother and sister later accused him of also assaulting them two years ago.

Herrera served as pastor at a Baptist church in Alice for nearly 10 years.

Sheriff's office officials say Herrera is related to the teenagers through marriage.
