A former Catholic priest has been charged with additional sexual offences involving teenage girls during the 1980s.

In April Lambton OPP charged Gabriele DelBianco, 54, of Auburn Ont., with three sexual offences involving one girl between 1983 and 1987.

In October, additional sex charges were laid involving three other girls between 1981 and 1986.

All the charges will be spoken to Dec. 8 in Sarnia court.

The Diocese of London has received claims from six women regarding sexual misconduct that allegedly occurred when they were minors and DelBianco was a priest. DelBianco, ordained in 1982, left the priesthood in 1996.

The London Diocese says DelBianco was associate pastor at Our Lady Help of Christians in Wallaceburg (1981-1984); studied in Rome (1984-1985); served as associate pastor at St. John Vianney in Windsor, was part-time chaplain at Brennan High School, Windsor (1985-1987); administrator at St. Rose of Lima, Windsor (1987-1988); associate pastor at St. Gregory, St. Clare Beach and part-time chaplain at St. Anne's High School, Tecumseh (1988-1990); and pastor at Sacred Heart, Windsor (1990-1994).
