Kevin Reynolds for grossly defaming him by accusing him of raping a minor while in Kenya. The Prime Time Investigates broadcast ‘Mission to Prey’ was aired on May 23rd last. It falsely claimed the Ahascaragh parish priest had fathered a child by the teenage girl who he then abandoned. The court heard scars remain and he still feels very upset about the damage to his good name having been accused of an abhorrent crime publicly and globally. Undisclosed damages were also awarded. Fr. Sean McDonagh is from the Association of Catholic Priests. He spoke outside the High Court.
