The latest in the Jerry Sandusky child sex abuse scandal is that the mother of one of the alleged victims is speaking out publicly for the first time.

She told CNN's Anderson Cooper that Sandusky should go to jail for the rest of his life. The mother also called her son a hero.

"He's a brave kid, and for a long time, we thought, and he thought, that he was the only one,” the mother explained. “He thought that we were basically just on our own and then as more victims came out he started to feel a little bit better about that."

Sandusky's attorney is still disputing that his client had sexual contact with boys as young as 10-years-old.
