	Investigator Appointed to Examine Defamation of Ahascragh Priest Galway Bay December 9, 2011 http://www.galwaynews.ie/23158-investigator-appointed-examine-defamation-ahascragh-priest The Broadcasting Authority of Ireland has appointed an independent investigator to examine the RTE Primetime programme, which defamed Ahascragh's parish priest. Former BBC Northern Ireland Controller, Anna Carragher, will investigate the 'Mission to Prey' programme, which made false claims about Fr. Kevin Reynolds. She'll investigate if the Primetime programme breached the Broadcasting Act in relation to fairness and objectivity. Fr. Reynolds settled a defamation case with RTE last month for an undisclosed sum.
