LAKELAND --
A 25-year-old Lakeland man was arrested Monday on charges of molesting four children at his homes.
Darryl Leonard Taylor Jr. was arrested Monday and is charged with three counts of lewd molestation of a child younger than 12, eight counts of lewd molestation of a child 12 to 16 years old and two counts of lewd battery of a child younger than 15.
The investigation began when one of the victims reported the sexual abuse to an elder at Born Again Church of God in Christ in Auburndale, police said. The elder contacted the boy's father, who then notified Lakeland police on Nov. 14.
A further investigation found three more victims, police said.
Detectives said most of the assaults occurred at Taylor's residences.
