Queens Supreme Court Justice Barry Krohn sentenced the Rev. Phillip Joubert to a five-year prison sentence Thursday after the pastor of the Community Baptist Church in Bayside was convicted last month of sexually abusing his teenage daughter in the summer of 2009.

Joubert, 50, admitted to inappropriate contact with the young girl when he was arrested in November of that year by NYPD Queens Special Victims Squad detectives. He was acquitted of rape and incest charges during his trial last month.

Krohn handed Joubert a five-year sentence for sexual abuse as well as endangering the welfare of a child.

Joubert will have three years of post-release supervision upon completing his sentence and will be required to register as a sex offender.
