Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests

Help make our next conference the best one yet!

Dear Friends;

With a few quick and simple steps you can help us make sure that our annual conference - set for July 27-29 in Chicago - will be our best ever.

Because of the tough economy, folks who want to come will likely need to start planning and saving earlier than usual, so we're trying to spread the word about the conference far and wide quickly.

We're asking every SNAP member and supporter to take these two simple steps

1) Please consider sending the announcement below to any blogger you may know. This is a good way to reach out to a different audience than the one you normally reach, and more coverage could encourage others who may not have been interested before to seriously think about attending! (It doesn't matter whether he or she has a large or small audience, writes about clergy abuse or not). You can offer them this message as an example:

"If any of my readers are survivors of abuse, have family that are survivors, or are supporters of those who have suffered these traumas at the hands of authority figures, then I want to take a moment to tell you about the SNAP Annual Conference. SNAP, the Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests, is an international organization that helps counsel and support survivors, whether they were abused by a priest, a boy scout leader, a nun, or a coach. Their conference - which this year will be taking place in Chicago from July 27 to July 29 - is an informative event with many different speakers and breakout sessions that teaches survivors and supporters many things including healing strategies, new ways of thinking about their abuse, and ways that they can help protect others. It is a great chance for anyone who has experienced abuse to meet, socialize, and help each other in their healing process. If you're interested, you should check out more information at the SNAP website here."
