Trial Date Set on Priest Sex Abuse Case

A trial date has been set for the Kansas City-St. Joseph Catholic Diocese and Bishop Robert Finn on charges they failed to report suspected child sex abuse to authorities.

A circuit judge says the trial will be Sept. 24. A grand jury has indicted Finn and the diocese for failing to report that a priest, Father Shawn Ratigan, possessed suspected child pornography.
