A former pastor and over-the-road trucker from Tomah appears in court on accusations he sexually abused a teenager for several years.

64-year-old Michael Delaney appeared in court Monday on felony sexual assault of a child and child enticement charges.

According to court documents, the male teen told investigators Delaney allegedly touched his genitals and engaged in sexual acts.

The teen also told investigators Delaney showed him pornographic movies while the two were in his semi truck.

Delaney, who is a former minister at the Church of God of Prophecy in Necedah, pleaded guilty in 1983 to two felony counts of sexual abuse, and was sentenced to two-and-a-half years in prison.

The church does not have a listed phone number, and had a sign on the front door Monday that said "closed until further notice."

News 8 learned Delaney is staying with his daughter in La Crosse. When contacted, a family member said Delaney has no comment on the case at this time.

Investigators continue to follow leads on the case in Monroe County. Anyone with information about Michael Delaney should call Tomah Police at 608-374-7400.
