VANCOUVER -- A teacher aide at a Clark County Christian High School has been arrested on sex abuse charges involving a student.

Kylee Allworth, 29, appeared Wednesday in Clark County Superior Court. She was ordered held on $50,000 bail. She was charged with three counts of suspicion of sexual misconduct with a minor. Her next court appearance was scheduled for March 28.

An informer told Kings Way Christian School officials about the allegations on Saturday, who turned them over to the Clark County sheriff's office.

Allworth is also an assistant basketball coach and lunchroom monitor. The victim is a 17-year-old girl.

A detective's affidavit alleges that Allworth started making sexual advances about Feb. 24 that included sexual contact. Several of the incidents took place at the school, the affiliated church or on church property.

Allworth told the victim not to say what was happening, as she could go to jail, the affidavit said.

The affidavit said Allworth, after after a Miranda warning, confessed before detectives to the advances. Her testimony mirrored what the victim told police.

"I would say it's heartbreaking," Jeff Waldbauer, executive pastor, told KGW, "I mean just crushing. You can never prepare yourself for something like this. As a parent who has high school students. As a dad I cant imagine what would take place and how to move forward."
