Prosecutor: Youth Pastor Turned Boys into " Sex Slaves"

More than 30 young males have now come forward against him, said prosecutor Sheila Alu at yesterday's hearing, adding that London sexually assaulted the boys over a period of decades, turning them into "sex slaves."

London was more than just the youth pastor at Bible Church of God on Sistrunk Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale. He was a counselor at the Boys and Girls Club and the dean of students at the Eagle Academy Charter School in Lauderdale Lakes as well.

London was bankrolled by a big-money children's foundation in Fort Lauderdale that bought him houses where many of his alleged victims -- boys from troubled homes, often without parents -- lived with him. He plied the boys with video games and cash. One victim, supposedly his "favorite," said London paid him more than $400,000 over a ten-year period. One young man, a former choir member at the Bible Church of God now living in California, told authorities that London raped him at the home. "The following day his butt was sore, he tried to tell his mother when he went home but she did not believe him and he has had to live with this memory his entire life," BSO Det. Julie Bower reported. "[He] believes this incident so affected his life he has never stopped thinking about it."

The victims have testified not only sexual abuse but physical abuse as well.

"I promise to God this man went so deep inside of me man I thought," the student testified on the stand yesterday. "I know you couldn't get pregnant, but I thought something was going to happen to me if I kept this semen inside of me, so every night I prayed to God. I promise I would never do this again. Then I did it 50 more times and I thought I was going to hell."

The testimony was so emotional that many in the courtroom wept. But a shackled London, sitting next to his lawyer in a jail jumpsuit, laughed quietly. And a large number of supporters from the church, where his father is pastor, showed up in solidarity with him. While the student testified, London's father, Rev. Leyo London, blurted out comments like "He's full of s--t!" A bailiff escorted him out of the courtroom.

As you can see in the video above, I questioned the reverend outside the courtroom and he said he believed all the victims are lying and that his son is innocent.
