A Baltimore jury found a local pastor guilty Wednesday of sexually abusing a teenaged girl from April 2000 to March 2002.

Leon W. Jones, 61, was first introduced to the then 15-year-old girl by her mother. The victim's mother plead guilty to her role in the sexual abuse.

At the time of the crime Jones was the pastor at the Renewed Hope Christian Church in Baltimore.

The jury found Jones guilty on eight counts of second degree sexual offense.

The Baltimore City State's Attorney says they are pushing for the maximum sentence of 160 years in prison, 20 years on each count of abuse.

Sentencing is scheduled for June 26.
