KISSIMMEE, Fla. - Kissimmee police have arrested a local pastor they say engaged in sexual acts with a 16-year-old boy from his church.

Angel Perez was arrested on May 10 after complaints that he touched a 16-year-old boy while the boy slept at his home in September and October 2011, according to police.

Perez, 45, is a pastor at Templo Pentecostal Puerto De Salvation. Police said Perez touched the boy several times while the boy slept on three separate occasions.

According to the arrest report, Perez apologized to the victim after one of the incidents, saying "he was possessed by a demon and didn't realize what he was doing."

The victim also told his mother and several church members about the incidents, but that his mother asked him to lie to police so DCF would not be notified, according to the report.

When detectives went to interview Perez, they said he was uncooperative.

Perez's daughter told Local 6 that her father isn't the type that would victimize a church member and teen. She says she thinks the teen's accusations are false.

"It really disappoints me you don't do this to a family that's trying to help you," said Hazel Perez. "Cause my dad isn't like that. He's a great guy. He tries to help everybody."

But Kissimmee police say they don't buy it.

"He took this boys trust and he broke it," said Stacie Miller of Kissimmee Police Department. "It was very traumatic for this victim."

Perez has been charged with unlawful sexual activity with certain minors. Police said anyone who may have been victimized by Perez or has knowledge of other victims should call Kissimmee Police Department's Major Crimes Unit at 407-846-3333.
