Child Sex Abuser Revealed

The Diocese of Davenport is recommending a football coach, convicted of sexually abusing minors decades ago be added to an online list of abusers.

Walter Phipps was a coach at Our Lady of Lourdes in Bettendorf in the 70s.

He was arrested and convicted 10 years later. Phipps passed away in 2010.

The board considered a second person be added to the list, but they say more investigation is needed.

The Diocese is emerging from bankruptcy after reaching a $37 million settlement with abuse victims.
