The details released in the State Police report on the investigation into Robert Carlson may come as a shock to some, but for others, as difficult as the details maybe, it wasn't a surprise.

Rev.Carl Schreiber leads the East Orrington Congregational Church where Carlson was once a pastor.

Rev. Schreiber says "We're saddened, I don't know if shock is the right word because Bob was a human and we're all capable of different things that we didn't realize."

The allegations of sexual abuse were made reality with the release of the report.

Rev. Schreiber believes the report may provide the answers that some were looking for.

He says, "I think State Police said it well. What is definitely concrete evidence type findings. So it's going to bring closure to those that want closure."

Yet it may also lead others to more questions...

Rev. Schreiber goes on to say, "There's going to be many people that want to bring it up over and over again and point at different churches and different leaders. They'll point at maybe the Governor or maybe Husson. They'll be those that want to keep bringing it up over and over."

But with Carlson dead and the State Police criminal investigation closed, it seems all that is left for the community to do is move forward.

In his words, Schreiber explains, "We now know, so now what do we do with what we know and my best thinking is to continue seeking God's wisdom.."
