A church congregation is in shock after learning one of their fellow members was arrested.

Danny Jordan Jr., a man trusted to work with children at Elmwood Baptist in Barboursville, is now behind bars after police say they found child porn on his computer.

"When your church starts doing well, Satan starts working,” Elmwood Baptist Church member Carolyn Herrenkohl said. “It just seems like Satan is in the midst right now."

The West Virginia Cybercrimes Task Force executed a search warrant Friday morning at a home on Guyan Avenue in Guyandotte.

Inside police say they found child pornography on Jordan’s laptop computer. The 36-year-old was arrested on three counts of possession of child pornography.

"His family is great, an excellent family,” church member Dennis Herrenkohl said. “It's just a shock and a surprise to me. He's been super to us, been a good worker, just a good Christian man."

Members at Elmwood Baptist say Jordan volunteered at the church and worked with kids.

“He knew the bible,” Carolyn said. “He was very good in teaching the kids their bible lessons and everything. I'm just still in a state of shock."

Investigators believe more images may be on the hard drives of other computers taken from Jordan's home, and more charges may be filed.

Jordan declined our request for an interview Friday from the Western Regional Jail.
