Church Youth Leader Faces More Sex Charges

A volunteer church youth leader already accused of having sexual contact with a teen he met through the church is facing additional child sex abuse charges.

Twenty-six-year-old Joshua Markelwitz was already jailed on charges including rape of a child and aggravated indecent assault when authorities in Dauphin County accused him of having a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old girl and recording a sex act on his cellphone.

WHTM-TV reports Markelwitz was arraigned Friday and held on $100,000 bail on the newest charges.

Markelwitz was being held on $750,000 bail after his arrest on the initial charges last month. Authorities said at the time they were trying to determine if Markelwitz had other victims.

Court records don't list an attorney for Markelwitz.
