hree months after a Troy parish priest was abruptly suspended and kicked out of his St. Thomas More Catholic Church home, FBI agents have taken over an inquiry into his handling of more than $400,00, Carol Hopkins reports in The Oakland Press.

Rev. Edward Belczak was asked to temporarily step aside from his duties at the church on North Adams Road in Troy in January during the probes that he mishandled at least $429,000 in church money. . . .

Sgt. Andy Breidenich said the FBI came to the Troy Police Department about two weeks ago and took over the case. Troy Police are continuing to investigate whether health care fraud occurred. . . .
