Bishop William Dendinger will be celbrating a Mass for the Prevention of Child Abuse April 29 at 5:00 pm at St. Mary's Cathedral in Grand Island. Following the Mass, the diocesan Office of Child Protection will be hosting family-focused activities at the Cathedral Square. Activities will include refreshments, children's games, and resource for parents on topics such as bullying, internet safety, right relationships, and the prevention of abuse. Exhibits will feature abuse prevention efforts of Catholic schools and parishes from across the diocese. Families will have the opportunity to take the Purple Hands Pledge: "I will not use my hands or my words for hurting myself or others."
