The big send off for senior girls at Mary Institute Country Day School (MICDS) has been postponed due to rain.  The tradition that goes back to the 1800s will be rescheduled for 6 p.m., Monday.  The annual event attracts Mary I alums from throughout the decades featuring seniors performing intricate dances around an elaborate Maypole in wedding dresses.  Writes headmistress Lisa Lyle: “Thought the weather forecast for May 6 calls for sunny skies, please dress accordingly for damp field conditions”. . .Meanwhile, students at Rosati-Kain High were surprised to be let out early the other day.  Staff calls to parents blamed “unforeseen circumstances.”  In truth, administrators apparently wanted the place evacuated before a SNAP sidewalk news conference outside the school.   The support group announced a wrongful death suit against the archdiocese and now-defrocked priest, Bryan Michael Kuchar, who worked at the school.. .In town for the L.A. Kings playoff game, Matthew Perry of “Friends” fame dined at Charlie Gitto’s on The Hill with a group headed to Scottrade.  He lapped down the rigatoni with Italian sausage and waved compliments to the chef. . .Our town’s Shawn Dougan, veep for sales at Hyman Ltd classic car dealer was reportedly the only American dealer with a major exhibit at the Techno Classica Show in Messe Essen (Germany) Exposition Hall.  The annual event draws about 200,000 and is little-known in the U.S. Within 1.3 million square-feet, 2,500 cars are on display that have never been seen before in the U.S. including models from BMW, Volkswagen and Opal.  A few chilling reminders of Nazi Germany were seen on grill emblazoned with the symbolic eagle.
