Reports: Priest Indicted on Indecent Behavior Charges before Death

A priest whose body was found in an Alexandria hotel was facing legal trouble at the time of his death. KALB reports Father Jamie Medina-Cruz had been arrested and charged with indecent behavior with a juvenile in Avoyelles Parish after a grand jury indicted him on those charges. The Diocese of Alexandria placed him on administrative leave afterward. The cause of death is pending an autopsy and toxicology reports. Police say they found no signs of foul play.
