Darryl Earl Houston,47, has been charged with three felony counts of sexual assault of a child under 17 years of age.

A Houston pastor is behind bars, accused of sexually assaulting one of his foster children, Harris County prosecutors said.

Darryl Earl Houston, 47, faces three felony counts of sexual assault of a child under 17 years of age, court records show. He was charged Aug. 22.

A judge denied bail for the suspect, who was being held Monday at the Harris County Jail.

The girl told Harris County sheriff's investigators that she had sex with Houston six times at a residence on Bicentennial Court in northwest Harris County, from April 7-24, 2013, according to an arrest warrant filed in the case.

The girl was 14 when the alleged assaults occurred.

"The complainant (victim) stated that while the other family members were upstairs, the defendant turned off the lights and she and the defendant engaged in sexual intercourse," the arrest warrant states.

The girl told a therapist at the Children's Assessment Center that Houston "would tell her how he really liked her and how they would be together in the future," according to the warrant.

Questioned by sheriff's investigators, Houston denied the allegations. He submitted to take part in a polygraph exam, and the results of the test showed "deception," investigators said.

Child Protective Services removed the girl and the other foster children from the home, according to the investigators.
