- A local pastor and foster parent is facing charges, accused of sexually assaulting a teenage girl. Now his other foster children are being removed from his custody.

Investigators say the teenage victim claims Darryl Earl Houston would tell her he really liked her, and how the two would have a future together.

Deputies say Houston, 47, is a local pastor and the man accused of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl at a house in northwest Harris County.

One neighbor said, "He had about five or six kids."

Former neighbors who asked not to be identified say they're shocked by the 47-year-old pastor's arrest. Harris County Sheriff's investigators say the teenage victim was one of Houston's former foster children.

"I've seen him a couple of times, he waved," a neighbor recalled. "Seen a bunch of girls here. I thought it was him and his family."

According to court documents, the abused teen claims the first assault happened back on April 7 when she was in the house doing chores. She claims Houston called her to a kid's TV room and began kissing her.

The teen told investigators the abuse continued throughout that month, alleging she and Houston had sex about six times.

Concerned neighbor Aundrea Branham said, "I think that's horrible. I mean, I think that the whole neighborhood should be on alert whenever you have someone like that move into the neighborhood. I think it's horrible."

Branham told me she hasn't seen any activity at the house in at least two months. Investigators say Pastor Houston told them the girl was promiscuous. They say he agreed to a polygraph test and was ultimately charged with three felony counts after they say Houston's answers about the alleged assaults were determined to be deceptive.

"And to be a pastor," said a neighbor. "It's very disturbing about it."

Child Protective Services is also investigating this case. We're told all of the foster children were removed from Houston's home when the teen first spoke out about the alleged abuse.
