Buena Vista pastor Larry Clark, 61, of 263 41st St., was taken into custody Thursday night by the Rockbridge County Sheriff’s Office on three charges related to sex offenses involving at least one male juvenile.

Clark was denied bond by the magistrate and is currently being held in the Rockbridge Regional Jail.

Clark is charged with two counts of knowingly and intentionally taking indecent liberties with a child under the age of 18 with lascivious intent and acting with cruelty and causing injuries to children. The offenses all took place between June 1, 2011, and Sept. 15, 2011.

During a search of Clark’s home on Thursday, deputies seized a computer and VHS and camcorder tapes. Information conveyed to sheriff's office investigator Miles Kelly during interviews with two alleged victims provided the probable cause for the search.

Clark is pastor at the Pentecostal Outreach Church in Buena Vista. For the past 12 years, the church has sponsored the annual Virginia Southern Gospel Jubilee during the summer at Glen Maury Park. The three-day event is known to attract hundreds of people. The Pentecostal Outreach Church is also sponsoring a special Southern Gospel Concert on Saturday at Rockbridge County High School
